Gilbane’s Jeff Long Honored with 2015 Greg Honzo Core Values Award

COLUMBUS, OH – June 5, 2014 – Jeff Long, Chief Estimator, is the recipient of Gilbane Building Company’s 2015 Greg Honzo Core Values Award, which was presented during Gilbane’s Central Business Unit Dinner at Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center in Columbus on Thursday, May 21. The Greg Honzo Award honors the Central Business Unit employee who illustrates Gilbane Building Company’s Core Values – Integrity, Toughmindedness, Teamwork, Dedication to Excellence, Loyalty, Discipline and Caring – in their professional and personal lives, and who continually exceed expectations through their dedicated service to the company.

Jeff, based in the Cleveland office, has been with Gilbane for 9 years, and has a total of 24 years in the construction industry. He graduated from Purdue University in 1991 with a degree in Construction Management, and has estimated more than 9 million square feet of projects for Gilbane including the Cleveland Indians Progressive Field Right Field Improvements, Goodyear Global Headquarters, Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital, Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park, Seidman Cancer Center and Ahuja Medical Center for University Hospitals.

Greg Honzo was a loyal Gilbane employee for more than 25 years and contributed to 36 projects across numerous regions. Greg passed away in 2007 after a three-year battle with breast cancer.
