Gilbane Wins $65.5 Million Task Order Contract at Vandenberg AFB

Arlington, Virginia, July 30, 2015 – Gilbane Federal announced that the company has been awarded a $65.5 Million contract (when all options are exercised) for renovating Building 7000 in order to facilitate the consolidation of the Joint Space Operations Center (JSpOC), the 14th Air Force, and the Joint Force Component Command (JFCC SPACE) on Vandenberg Air Force Base (VAFB).  This project was competitively bid as a task order under the existing Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC) Sustainment/Restoration & Modernization (SRM) Task Order Contract (SATOC).

Building 7000 consists of a 3-story primary building (B7000) and a 2-story adjoining Annex (B7000-A) with the entire facility being roughly 180,120 gross square feet of space including the basement. The project will include complete demolition of interior and exterior areas throughout the facility, as well as the construction of areas of hard-wall offices, open offices, conference rooms, secure areas , and data center equipment rooms. Demolition includes removal of the connecting bridge between Buildings 7000 and 7015, including any repair to building 7015 as a result of the demolition
