The origins of Gilbane's Southwest presence began over two decades ago in Dallas and since then, Gilbane's Southwest Region has gone on to grow into one of Texas' Largest Construction Contractors. Between 1981 and now, we have been consistently active in the North Texas Metroplex with projects including Frito-Lay Corporate Headquarters, IteCom, Inc., the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Nowlin Center and the Tarrant County Justice Center.

Locally, Gilbane has had a relationship with Tarrant County since 1987 and managed the Family Law Center building construction project. Completed in July 2005, it has gone on to win the prestigious National Eagle Award for Excellence in Construction presented by the Associated Builders and Contractors. We were recently selected as the Construction Manager at Risk for the new Downtown Jail Facility. Working in multiple market segments, we established our permanent DFW office in Grapevine in 1999. Our construction services include CM at Risk, CM-Agency, Design/Build, Program/Project Management, i.management and much more.

The Gilbane/Jackson Ryan Design Build team participated in periodic meetings with City of Houston Building Services Department, Houston Public Library Project Management Team, and Friends of the Neighborhood Library (FONL) members to ensure they were well informed on any critical issues affecting the schedule, budget, or LEED certification of the library.

The joint venture team of Gilbane Building Company and J.W. Kelso Construction performed Construction Management Services for the Galveston County Criminal Justice Center, a $92 million, 650,000-square-foot complex is located near the entrance of Galveston Island.

Gilbane managed the construction of a new criminal justice center that consolidated the outdated and overcrowded facilities into the Harris County Criminal Justice Center, a 776,000-square-foot facility featuring 20-stories that house courtrooms, holding cells for 774 inmates and multiple floors of office space for attorneys and court administrators.

Gilbane provided construction management services for the construction of the Tarrant County Family Law Center and Parking Garage. The facility, dedicated to family courts and related functions consists of a 5-story building totaling 258,541-square feet plus a basement.
